Whitman College celebrated its 137th Commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 21st in front of Memorial Building.
The ceremony was opened by Board of Trustees Chair Joe Davis ’80 and President Sarah Bolton, who acknowledged and thanked the many people who provided support to the Class of 2023—a class who were first-year students when the pandemic hit in 2020.
Representing their class at the podium were speaking duo Aidan Macpherson (pictured above, left) and Elena McHargue (pictured above, right) whose message to the class was delivered with light-hearted banter.
The Commencement Address was delivered by Amber Ebarb ’03, who is currently serving in the 118th Congress as Minority Staff Director for the U.S. Senate Committee on Indian Affairs.
