Recent Alum Finds Path to Career in Finance
|
Hailing from Slovakia, Klaudia Kyjovska ’22 came to Whitman College with a world of possibilities ahead of her. Following a growing curiosity about all things finance, Kyjovska found opportunities on and off campus to explore economics and investing. Today, she works alongside a number of other Whitties as an analyst at Trilogy Search Partners where she provides guidance to entrepreneurs on potential acquisitions to advance their businesses.
Klaudia’s pathway includes many interesting stepping stones: being accepted into Whitman as a UWC Davis Scholar; captaining the women’s soccer team; on-campus work experience in the Alumni Office; consulting with nonprofits with support from the Career and Community Engagement Center; working with faculty as an research assistant; and interning in her home country of Slovakia.
“It’s hard to put into words the magnitude of opportunities that Whitman has offered,” Kyjovska says as she reflects on the support she received at Whitman. “Learning from the best professors, whether it’s inside or outside of the classroom, and a wide range of extracurricular and professional activities on campus are only a couple of examples to show what I got to experience in my time as a student.”
Our alumni’s diverse student experiences and career paths showcase the transformative power of a Whitman education. Explore more pathways on the Upward Together campaign website.
