Announcements

Reminder: Masks Requirement Starts Today

Today begins our campus mask requirement in all indoor public spaces on campus. It will continue for at least the first couple of weeks of classes to minimize the spread of any new COVID-19 cases. We will return to a masks-optional status as soon as it is safe to do so.

Paperwork Required for Student Employment

Are you a student planning to have an on-campus job for the first time? Before you can start working, you need to be authorized for employment by Human Resources. To do so, you will need to show us in person important documents that prove your identity and legal authorization to work in the United States (view list of acceptable documents on page 3). Photocopies or digital pictures are not accepted. Bring your documents to the Human Resources office (Memorial Building 104) any time to complete your paperwork. You can also stop by their table at the job fair on Friday.

Daily COVID-19 Update

In accordance with Washington state Labor & Industries employer requirements, we are notifying the campus community that since yesterday, one person with Whitman access was confirmed positive for COVID-19.

Please continue to follow all our campus COVID-19 protocols to help prevent transmission. Mask use will be required during the first couple of weeks of classes.

If you have any symptoms that may be COVID-19 or know that you may have been exposed to coronavirus, please be tested. Rapid test kits are available 7:30-11:30 a.m. and 1:30-4:30 p.m., at the Welty Student Health Center.
