Did you know that the Outdoor Program operates a Bike Shop, located directly behind Boyer House? The Bike Shop offers reasonably priced bike maintenance and repairs, mountain bike rentals, plus a variety of retail merchandise and bicycle accessories (bike tubes, lights, locks, bags).
Fall semester Bike Shop hours:

- Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 4–6 p.m.
|
The Outdoor Program Rental Shop, located in Reid Campus Center, also offers a variety of retail merchandise, for biking and other outdoor recreational needs. Fall semester hours are weekdays from Noon–5:30 p.m.

Whitman Golf Teams Make History at PLU-GHC Invitational
|
For the first time in Whitman College history, both the men’s and women’s golf teams won first place titles at the same tournament—the PLU-GHC Invitational, held earlier this week. Ellena Jeong ’27 and Beatrice Archer ’26 led the women’s effort, finishing in the top two positions on the individual leaderboard. Four players on the men’s team placed in the top 10.

Festival de Cultura Viva This Weekend
|
Whitman community members are invited to experience the Festival de Cultura Viva this weekend in downtown Walla Walla. Help paint an “Express Hispanic” mural on the corner of Palouse and Main streets (behind Bledsoe Family Winery) on Friday, Sept. 29 from Noon–3 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 30 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. No experience is necessary, but be mindful that your clothes may get paint on them. Meet at the mural on Sunday, Oct. 1 at 10 a.m. to walk in a parade that will lead to Gesa Power House Theatre where the festivities will continue until 4 p.m. (See attached flyer.)

Staff Coffee Break Next Week
|
The first Staff Coffee Break of the semester, hosted by the Office of the President, will take place on Thursday, Oct. 5 at 9 a.m. at Maxey Hall. Enjoy a midmorning break to socialize with your colleagues and learn more about Division I: Social Sciences.

Pride OUTside: Fall Break Retreat
|
The LGBTQIA+ Student Services Office is hosting an Outdoor Program-supported trip to the Johnston Wilderness campus, from Thursday, Oct. 5 to Saturday, Oct. 7. This retreat is designed to create a safe and inclusive space for LGBTQIA+ students to connect, relax and celebrate their identities while experiencing the natural tranquility of the Pacific Northwest. The deadline to register is Tuesday, Oct. 3.

The Bike Fix It Station is located on the Park Street side of the Reid Campus Center. This self-service resource, provided by the Outdoor Program, includes an air pump and various tools commonly used for simple repairs.
