|
Today marks the end of Fall semester and the campus will be quieter until students return mid-January. With that in mind, here are some important things to know about campus access and safety during the break:
Starting on Monday, Dec. 19, access to campus buildings will be restricted, so don't forget to carry your ID card or keys with you.
The Welty Student Health Center will close for clinical services at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 21. and reopen at 8 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 9. During the interim, if you have any health concerns, visit Providence Urgent Care (open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily). For emergencies, call 911.
The Whitman Food Pantry at the Glover Alston Center will be staffed from 2–3 p.m. Monday through Friday, to provide food and clothing assistance for students remaining on campus. The Glover Alston Center will also remain accessible via card swipe from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Have questions? Contact Quin Nelson or Greg Lecki.
For those in need of confidential support after an incident of sexual misconduct, the YWCA 24-Hour Crisis Line will be available at 509-529-9922. The YWCA Walla Walla Office will also welcome walk-ins, Monday-Friday (closed on Dec. 26 and Jan. 2). Whitman students and employees may also continue to make reports and contact Title IX Coordinator Cassandre Beccai during break. For immediate assistance and a more comprehensive overview of options, visit the Whitman Title IX webpage.
