Stevens Gallery: Humans of Whitman College
|
The current exhibit at Stevens Gallery in Reid Campus Center is "Humans of Whitman College" by Sydney London '23, rhetoric, writing & public discourse major.
Artist Statement:
"Humans of Whitman College was born out of my curiosity to more deeply know others and to meet new people. For the past two years, getting the opportunity to interview people of various backgrounds has been something I have grown to value and love. I have always been intrigued with the untold stories of people I pass by daily-and this project was a way of gradually learning and sharing those narratives.
"The @humansofny Instagram account has reached and touched millions of people all over the world. While Whitman College is small, you can never predict how someone's story may affect another and with this project, I want to facilitate these inter-community connections."
"Humans Of Whitman College" will be on display through Monday, October 24.
