Visit Stevens Gallery in Reid Campus Center for "Waxflowers Trails," a new exhibit by senior art and film and media studies major Hannah Marker, who specializes in using light, space and printmaking to generate an atmosphere. Incorporating light, shadow, accordion books and gently swaying fabric, “Waxflowers Trails” transforms the simple room is into an otherworldly environment.
To prevent damage to the fragile pieces, please do not bring backpacks or large objects into the space, and watch your step. Feel free to remove your shoes if that would be helpful. The windows can also be opened to let the work move in the breeze.
Stevens Gallery also announces the completion of two digital editions of earlier shows:
“Wishing You Well” An immersive dive into senior art major Fi Black’s explosion of light, sound and color created in response to the surreality of the pandemic. The online edition includes an original video by the artist.
“Tapestry of Journeys” A peaceful reflection on the interactive show created by the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life, which focused on the ways that we as individuals can be united by community with one another.
