The semester is nearly behind us, but there is still time to visit the 2023 Senior Thesis Art Exhibition—presented by Sheehan Gallery and the Whitman College Studio Art Department—before it closes on Sunday, May 21.
Visit the Donald H. Özge Serin Publishes Political Theology Essay
|
Visiting Assistant Professor of Politics Özge Serin recently published an essay titled “Hunger Strike” as part of the Critical Theory for Political Theology Keywords Series. Guided by a ten-member editorial collective, the series features essays on keywords from the discourse of critical theory, explicating their meaning and exploring how the term could inflect conversations in political theology.

Faculty-Staff Roundtable Discussion Tomorrow
|
All faculty and staff are invited to a roundtable discussion about how the pandemic impacted teaching and learning. The event will take place on Friday, May 19 from 2:30–4 p.m. in Hall of Science 100. Panelists will share perspectives from diverse vantage-points, with representatives of the Academic Resource Center, Counseling Center, Dean of Students Office, Diversity & Inclusion and the Housing Office.

Commencement Weekend Schedule
|
The entire Whitman community is invited to support and celebrate our graduating class during Commencement weekend. An interfaith Baccalaureate ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 20 at 2:30 p.m. in Chism Recital Hall in the Hall of Music. Commencement will be held on Sunday, May 21 at 11 a.m. (processional starts at 10:50 a.m.) in front of Memorial Building. Livestreams of both events will be available online.
