Maximizing Protection From Masks
|
As we prepare to move to a mask-optional campus environment, it’s important to note that if you choose to continue masking you will receive the maximum protection by ensuring that whatever mask you wear fits properly. Please familiarize yourself with any instructions specific to the masks you use, and remember that, no matter what mask you wear, there are a few key considerations:
- The mask should be worn covering your nose and mouth.
- The mask should have a nose clip/band that you can adjust to fit snugly around your nose and the tops of your cheeks.
- The edges of the mask should fit tightly to your face on all sides, even when you are talking.
Take care of your masks by inspecting them regularly for holes, loose or fraying elastic, stains or other signs of wear that may compromise their integrity.
Remember that Whitman will be giving new masks to faculty, staff and students at Cordiner Hall at the following times:
- From 8 a.m.-1 p.m., Monday, March 21 through Friday, March 25.
- From 8 a.m.-9 a.m. and noon-1 p.m., Monday, March 28 through Friday, April 1.
