|
Have you figured out your Spring Break plans? Consider taking a Wilderness First Responder (WFR) course during the first 10 days of break (leaving six more days for other activities).
The SSRA 242B March WFR course offered through the Outdoor Program is taught by instructors from the National Outdoor Leadership School. WFR certification is the industry standard for many outdoors-focused jobs, and could open doors for summer jobs, jobs with the Outdoor Program, research opportunities in remote areas and potential future careers in the medical field.
Even though the official deadline has passed, there is still room for more course participants! To register, reach out to Director of Outdoor Programs Brien Sheedy and he will work with the Registrar’s Office to add you. For more information, read the student information letter and review the course overview.
This course is open to Whitman students, faculty and staff as well as community members.
Questions? Email Brien Sheedy.
