The Muslim Student Association extends a campus-wide invitation to join them in celebrating Eid al-Fitr, a joyous occasion that marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan for Muslims around the world.
“A Grand Eid Celebration” will take place on Sunday, April 23 from 6–8 p.m. in the Reid Campus Center Young Ballroom (see attached flyer). Enjoy delicious food, lively music, a photo booth and cultural performances from our diverse community.
This event is also co-sponsored by the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life and Whitman Events Board.

Renaissance Fair on Saturday

The Whitman College Renaissance Faire is a student-planned event with a 50+ year history on campus. The 2023 Renaissance Faire takes place on Saturday, April 22 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in front of Memorial Building. All are welcome to come and enjoy games, tournaments, vendors, live entertainment and more! (See attached flyer.)

Ivy Removal Work Party on Saturday

Join the Outhouse, ASWC Sustainability, Stream Team, the Tri-State Steelheaders and other campus and community partners for an ivy removal event on on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The goal is to remove invasive ivy from College Creek between Reid and the art building, in preparation for planting native and culturally significant plants. New Concert Series Begins on Monday

The Music Department will present the inaugural event of the recently-endowed Pickett Performing Scholar Series, which aims to combine performance and scholarship to highlight the work of historically underrepresented musicians. The first event, titled “On Being Enslaved,” will take place on Monday, April 24 at 7 p.m. in Chism Recital Hall, and will feature the renowned Marian Anderson String Quartet. Admission is free and a light reception will follow. (See attached flyer.)

The Whitman College Board of Trustees cordially invites you to the installation of Sarah R. Bolton as our 15th president. Theater One Acts Play Festival Announcement

Students, if you are interested in submitting a play to the One Acts Play Festival in spring semester of 2024, you must first take the Playwriting/Write Performance class (THDN-330-A) during fall semester of 2023.
