Upward Together: The Campaign for Whitman College

The top of the Memorial Building clock tower, surrounded by treetops and rolling hills in the background. Text: “Upward together: The Campaign for Whitman College”

Last week, Whitman College launched the public phase of its most ambitious fundraising campaign to date with a goal of $200 million ($138 million has already been raised by more than 13,500 donors). We are glad so many of our campus community were able to join us on Ankeny Field for the celebration!

The “Upward Together” campaign builds on Whitman’s historic strengths and lifts up six key priorities:

  • Access & Affordability
  • Academic Excellence & Distinction
  • Vibrant Campus Community
  • Advancing Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
  • Strong Graduate Launches for All Students
  • The Whitman Fund

Learn more about each of these priorities, watch the inspiring campaign video, download social media assets and more on our campaign website.

Together, we will move Whitman College forward and upward!

Get Your Tickets to “The Thanksgiving Play”

The Department of Theater & Dance presents “The Thanksgiving Play” with nine performances over two weekends at the Freimann Studio Theatre, starting on Thursday, Oct. 19 at 8 p.m. Good intentions collide with absurd assumptions in this satirical comedy written by Larissa Fasthorse (Sicangu Lakota Nation) about a group of teaching artists trying to create a school pageant that somehow manages to celebrate both Turkey Day and Native American Heritage Month. Tickets (free for Whitman students) are available online. (See attached flyer.)
