Upward Together: The Campaign for Whitman College
|
Last week, Whitman College launched the public phase of its most ambitious fundraising campaign to date with a goal of $200 million ($138 million has already been raised by more than 13,500 donors). We are glad so many of our campus community were able to join us on Ankeny Field for the celebration!
The “Upward Together” campaign builds on Whitman’s historic strengths and lifts up six key priorities:
|
- Access & Affordability
- Academic Excellence & Distinction
- Vibrant Campus Community
- Advancing Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
- Strong Graduate Launches for All Students
- The Whitman Fund
|
Learn more about each of these priorities, watch the inspiring campaign video, download social media assets and more on our campaign website.
Together, we will move Whitman College forward and upward!

On Saturday morning, a crowd gathered outside of the Hall of Science to observe a partial solar eclipse. The Astronomy Department set up a solar telescope and provided protective eyewear for participants. The “Ring of Fire” photo on the right was taken by Whitman community member Celeste Kaur in Eugene, Oregon.
